Ewing Athletics has been dropping collab after collab for the culture and the latest celebrates a New York institution: Mikey Likes It Ice Cream.
After last year’s blue suede Mikey Likes It Ice Cream x Ewing 33 Hi sold out instantly, the brands are back again with something new. This time around the ice cream shop has picked the 1993 Ewing Sport Lite, a midtop silhouette that was Ewing’s first cross-training shoe.
Outfitted with premium tumbled cream leather and what appears to be blue canvas or corduroy accents, this Ewing Sport Lite features materials never before used on this silhouette. The shoe rides atop a lightweight EVA midsoles and gum bottoms for a classic New York look. Unique branding hits the tongue while clever packaging and details are present throughout the box and shoes.
“We’re just trying to push the boundaries of what companies are doing with ice cream,” said New York native Michael “Mikey” Cole, founder and owner of Mikey Likes It Ice Cream. “And we do this by using the best ingredients and building lasting relationships with local businesses, customers and other great people.”
The Mikey Likes It Ice Cream x Ewing Sport Lite is available now for $130 at EwingAthletics.com in sizes 5 to 15. Availability it limited.
