You can avoid it or grab it but apparently, dad shoes aren’t going anywhere — especially now that Nike is on the bandwagon with the M2K Tekno.
A few days ago, WearTesters reported on the Nike M2K Tekno, a trendy re-build of the Nike Air Monarch IV. While it made sense for Nike to re-release the brand’s best-selling sneaker, few could imagine that it would be rebuilt in this fashion — for nearly double the price.
That being said, the M2K Tekno carries over everything that was found in the Air Monarch IV including a Phylon midsole with a full-length Air unit in the midsole for comfort. While the previous M2K Tekno colorway was fairly basic, Nike has elected to go a different direction for this build.
Instead of a predominantly white upper, this M2K Tekno is black with volt green in the Swoosh, the heel counter, pull tab, and insole. All this sits atop a white midsole and black outsole for some variation on an otherwise plain sneaker.
The women’s Nike M2K Tekno in Black/White/Volt Green is set to drop on May 19 for $100. Like last time, there’s no word on whether this shoe will be a general or limited release but in any case, keep it locked to WearTesters for any updates on the Nike M2K Tekno.
What are your thoughts on the Nike M2K Tekno? Do you prefer this colorway, the previous white colorway, or would you rather see them in the trash?
