It’s nearly the Fourth of July and that means there are steals to be had at retailers all over. CU4TRO, a lifestyle and skate brand, is offering 50% off on all of its footwear until July 4.
You know we love the smaller footwear companies at WearTesters, and while a lifestyle footwear brand, CU4TRO does employ some interesting technology. All of its midsoles are equipped with the brand’s FOURMULA, a latex compound that doesn’t “pack out” like regular EVA. According to CU4TRO, FOURMULA has proven to outlast EVA foam by three times, which should provide wearers with a bouncier ride throughout the shoe’s lifespan.
CU4TRO offers silhouettes like the Flow ($90 $45), a classic-inspired athletic trainer. It uses a stretch knit upper, a lightly padded stretch knit gusset-style tongue, and synthetic leather accents. The Faider ($90 $45) is a retro-inspired trainer with a stretch knit sock-like upper and a suede toe with a debossed branding.
The CU4TRO Bolt ($110 $55), the brand’s statement shoe, is a lightweight and minimal trainer. It’s constructed from a custom engineered stretch knit mesh upper and features a padded airmesh tongue. It’s tied together with a ightweight TPR rubber lacing system and, like all of the brand’s shoes, rides atop a full FOURMULA outsole.
Those looking for something more boot-like can check out the CU4TRO Ninja Z ($164 $82), a lightweight military-inspired boot that rides atop a runner FOURMULA outsole. It’s super hightop boot with a medial zipper for easy in and out.
All of CU4TRO’s footwear is available in unisex sizes 4 to 13. I’ve wanted to try the footwear from this brand for over a year so this 50% sale may be what it takes for me to finally pull the trigger.
