Kobe Bryant’s Latest Sneaker, the Nike Kobe AD Exodus, Gets a Black/Red Look

Colorways of the Nike Kobe AD Exodus, Kobe Bryant’s latest signature sneaker, continue to leak. The shoe looks better and better with every new colorway that surfaces.

The latest Kobe model debuts August 24 in the ‘Sail’ colorway and retail price is rumored to be $140.

This latest Black/Red rendition of the Kobe AD Exodus doesn’t have an official release date, but overseas leaker US11 has listed September 29 as a possible release date. Foot Locker’s release calendar shows a Black/Multi version releasing on September 1, but that could be for this colorway or the previously seen Exodus ‘Black/Purple’ because both feature a black build with multicolor accents throughout.

With more images it looks like this latest Kobe AD shares a similar material build to the Nike PG series; it uses mesh in the toe with synthetic suede or nubuck in the rear. If that ends up being the case then these would end up being one of the nicer builds of the Kobe modern lineup of performance basketball sneakers.

The flex zone at the forefoot states that it features “Composite Fiber.” We’re not sure if that points to the nylon lace strand or the rip-stop material the area looks to be made of, but we’ll end up finding out more once Nike officially unveils the model. Traction looks very similar to the Nike Kobe AD NXT 360 so let’s hope it’s more durable.

Let us know what you think of this Black/Red colorway of the Nike Kobe AD Exodus and stay tuned for official information once its available. Are you excited to play in this shoe or is it just one release of too many for 2018?

  1. If these are 140 and have either lunar or react, I’ll cop this colorway for sure. I love the little pillows at the front and back of the collar. Hopefully there is an internal heel counter as the midsole and external counter aren’t very large

  2. Im on the fence with these. I wouldnt be suprised if it uses a similar cushion to the KD11. Nike is really pushing react/zoom to compete with boost. With Curry, KD, Rose, dropping the ball all signs point to the Lebron 16 as the best sig of 2018. And don’t even mention Jordan Brand, the 33 will most likely be a modern jordan 3 aimed at off court use.

  3. I swear them dots on the midsole are morse code for “Forefoot React with ZoomX bag (yeah, that’s right: actual ZoomX bag, b**ches) + a big-arse double-stacked Zoom-bag-filled-with-helium back in the heel” …..LOL :)))
