Kids Pairs of the adidas Harden Vol 2 Use Bounce, Not Boost

kids adidas harden vol 2 bounce 1

It’s always weird when brands do this, but the Boost cushioning in the standard Harden Vol 2 has been swapped out for Bounce in kids sizes.

This tech substitution will only affect those sizes 3 to 6, but the change is odd considering the kids version retails for $100 ($40 off the men’s sizes). Bounce is described as comfortable and flexible on adidas’ website.

Shoes like the kids KD 10 and kids LeBron 15 feature the same Air cushioning setups just like the adult builds. However, those Nike offerings retail at price points closer to those of the adult sizes; the LeBron 15 Big Kids (sizes 3Y to 7Y) is $160, $25 off from the men’s pairs, while the KD 10 Big Kids also retails for $25 below the men’s sizes at $125.

There is no official adidas word as to why this substitution was made. If you’re hooping the kids version, do you like Bounce? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
