2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3 and Jordan Brand is putting classic colorways on all kind of new models. The latest sneaker to get OG treatment? The Jordan Zoom Tenacity 88.
Recently seen on the feet of Justin Timberlake, the Jordan Zoom Tenacity 88 uses a textile and synthetic build to create a lightweight runner. There’s a Zoom Air unit embedded in a foam midsole for cushioning, and the shoe rides atop durable rubber for traction.
However, some hardcore fans will call the heels of these shoes sacrilegious; the heels do feature Jumpman logos, but beneath them reads ‘RUN,” not “AIR.” Otherwise, the Zoom Tenacity 88 faithfully recreates both Air Jordan 3 colorways well — red eyelets are even used at the base of the eyestay as an homage.
