These look great. similar to the the 28s SE but i think the heelcup is a bit overkill, i would prefer some carbon fiber look.

I actually like the heel counter. on this colorway especially, the heel counter looks like a huge wave on the ocean. this may be my first ever purchase of a blue shoe.
I’ve heard they set the price on these @ $165, the heel doesn’t bother me much, might look pretty cool in a different colorway.

These remind me of the Jordan 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,29, but not of the 28 SE at all. Don’t you agree NW?

I don’t care about the heel..but it looks as if it not carbon fibre and if that sacrificed even 1% of support or stability…I’m not buying it.
You’ll find that the heel counter is a metal alloy. You’ll also find that it will give you more support than carbon fibre, Yes carbon fibre is strong, however it is prone to cracking especially when running up near the top of the shoe where it will flex a little – see the Lebron X elite.
The alloy will flex a little but will not crack.
i honestly doubt they will use metal alloy. probably just TPU covered in chrome paint.
n its not the material, its the color. it looks too blink blink n that makes it like a cheap toy.
it would be better if the heel-cup is matte color, to go along with a bright upper. or if they insist on chrome heel-cup, use a dark upper with bright lining.
AJ XX2 is a good example of how chrome heel-cup should be.

the only thing good about the carbon fiber is that it’s more durable. other than that, most TPUs that has ever been built on any major shoe regardless of material used have done their job. I think that 1% comment is nothing more but nitpicking rather than have some real concern on stability.
tPU’s are fine and feel the same as CF on the Kobe 8s i couldnt feel the difference. Ive also seen a kobe 8 elite CF heel clip crack, as well as a Lebron X elite ankle CF panel break.
Oh yeah the owner (yup one guy owned both the elite brons and kobe’s, about 5’10” but plays like a beast on outdoor courts) superglued the CF’s back anyway and said he couldnt tell the diff.

No they weren’t. They have panels if nice material but they were placed on plastic which is not premium.

If these play very similar to the Xx8SE im coppin. I really wanna experience that fabled xx8 on court but would appreciate a lower price since im sure to beat it up in a few months.
Plus i wanna support melo the same way i did kobe and rose, by buying their shoes.

the design of the outsole of XX8 and that would the shoe is mostly Tinker design.

IMO JB is just pulling off the adidas marketing strategy of using the same damn tech on every model, changing the nme and selling it for 30 extra dollars because it’s a signature model… SMH
These are going to be cheaper than the XX8, Probably cheaper than the XX8 se as I don’t see resellers buying all these.

I have 2 pairs of XX8’s & a pair of Superfly 2’s, and honestly, the unlocked zoom is that amazing that they should put that base on everything. It’s hard to imagine how they’ll get any better.
