Last year, Jordan Brand launched the Lunar Grind, a lifestyle runner that took design elements from the Air Jordan 4. Now, the brand has released the sequel, the Jordan Lunar Grind 2 — a model that clearly pays homage to the Air Jordan 5.
Sporting the same Lunar tooling setup from the original Jordan Lunar Grind, this version redesigns the aesthetic by removing the elephant print and replacing it with the fighter plane-inspired teeth from the Air Jordan 5.
The upper of the Lunar Grind 2 appears to be comprised of a synthetic material with some fuse panels and a minimal lacing system (the shoe is pretty much a slip-on). Covering the lace area is the netting from the Air Jordan 5 while the reflective tongue (a nod to the reflective tongue of the Air Jordan 5) makes an appearance to finish off the look.
The Jordan Lunar Grind 2 is beginning to arrive at select retailers now for $115 and should arrive at Eastbay.com soon.
