Chris Paul has led his squad to a division-leading 45-21 record, so it’s safe to say that CP has Los Angeles poised to make a strong playoff run this year. Today he gave us a sneak peek at his postseason iteration of his signature shoe: the CP3.VI AE.
The AE is an ‘artisan edition’ of the CP3.VI, upgrading his signature shoe’s crafted performance materials for the final stretch. While the CP3.VI AE’s high-traction tooling remains the same while there are two new key features built into the upper. Notice the mesh window on the AE’s quarter panel. This not only enhances the shoe’s ventilation, but provides a view into the technology below – Dynamic Fit. These straps wrap up from the midsole and integrate with the laces for lightweight support that moves with the foot.
While CP rocked these on-court today, you can cop your own AE’s when they hit shelves on April 17.
I just hope the heel lockdown is improved.
I give it a big fat….meh
Hey Nightwing,
With the heel lockdown supposedly being corrected, do you plan on reviewing these?
Definitely looking forward to these. Ive played in the cp vi’s and other than the heel lockdown, they were pretty much perfect. These probaly fixed the heel lockdown issue, so I am definitely gonna cop it as my go-to shoe.
cant wait for the release! (They look pretty dope too)

okay, so they probably play great like a lot of other shoes…will someone please tell JB to get past the Jordan 2012 paneling shapes because they looked retarded then and they still do now.
That bred color way looks clean
