On Thursday night, Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 33, the brand’s latest game shoe. It introduced Jordan Brand’s “Flight Utility” design language, and the next product in that range will be the Jordan Apex Utility.
Teased by Jordan Brand designer Frank Cooke in August, the Jordan Apex Utility takes the upper from the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit and places it atop a bold and chunky React foam midsole. And like so many of its styles in 2018, Jordan Brand has placed a shroud over the sneaker.
The Apex Utility features adjustable heel straps that allow for a custom fit while Flight Utility graphics appear on the tongue and heel tabs. According to Nike, the Flight Utility design language is about designing for the future by extrapolating from the core of Jordan Brand DNA. Innovation will drive styles like the Apex Utility and Proto-React that compliment the Air Jordan 33.
The Jordan Apex Utility will release sometime in 2019, according to Jordan Brand. No pricing information has been announced.
