Active Athlete is an independent footwear and streetwear retailer based in Houston. It was founded in 1988 and this Memorial Day, the shop will be celebrating 30 years with two striking new builds of the Fila Original Fitness.
These limited edition footwear styles fuse elements from both brands and pay homage to the community Active Athlete has fostered in Houston. The first Original Fitness is draped in navy suede with a dual-colored Fila flag that flaunts several orange hues. Active Athlete branding is embroidered at the quarter and the shoe rides atop gum bottoms for a classic look.
The second Active Athlete x Fila Original Fitness gets a super clean leather build that sports a bright orange look with contrasting Fila and Active Athlete branding. The shoe gets two-tone orange hues at the midsole and Fila side panel stripe.
These Active Athlete x Fila Original Fitness collabs retail for $80 each and will be available beginning May 25. Look for them at fila.com and Active Athlete in H-Town.
