Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Maroon’

The Air Jordan 6 ‘Maroon’ gets the Retro treatment for the first time ever.

Not only is this the very first time the ‘Maroon’ Air Jordan 6 gets Retroed but they’re getting released as part of Jordan Brand’s heavily flawed ‘remastered’ line so they actually look like they did back in 1991. Their off-white upper is teamed up with hits of maroon – which looks great – and they even feature the ever-so-popular Nike Air on the heel.

Side note: I find it ironic that back in ’91 the Nike Air branding was stitched onto the heel of the shoe in the same color as the upper in order to try and mute the branding while the Jumpman remained a prominent feature. Nowadays consumers think its some sort of special feature and makes the shoe more sought after but back in ’91 Nike Air wasn’t something anyone really cared about. It’s just something that comes to mind when I see people drooling over the branding that the brand (or designer) was trying to hide originally.

Anyway, get up close and personal with the Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Maroon’ below and look for these to hit retailers on Dec. 5th including ShoePalace.com.Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 1 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 2 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 3 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 4 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 5 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 6 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 7 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 8 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 9 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 10 Get Up Close and Personal with The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Maroon' 11

  1. Nike, WTF is wrong with ya’ll charging so much for stuff that should have been made with top quality in mind, even at seventy five dollars less? This is why the tide is about to turn, with smart people realizing that this stuff is really only worth, what you are willing to pay.

  2. If any other company made white and purple shoes and put some words on the back, I can guarantee you that it would not cost 220.

  3. We cared about Nike air branding in 91.
Trust me… You didn’t want your joints to just say “nike”

It was the 4th straight year with nike air on the back, they were just going a different route.

If you throw Porsche badges on a BMW it looks corny
If you bought a 1991 replica BMW and they changed the badges to Porsche you’d be like Wtf.
If they then remastered the car a few years later with correct badges, you’d be pissed.
