First Impressions of the Under Armour Speedform Fortis & Flow RN Twist

Not one, but two first impression videos! This time they’re the Under Armour Speedform Fortis and Flow RN Twist. Two videos, on two shoes, on the Fourth of July.

Let’s go over the Flow RN Twist first, a budget model that provides great value at its $80 retail price. A ballistic mesh upper with an intriguing tiger camo design provides a breathable and flexible forefoot while heavy overlays in the mid-foot and an external heel cup provide structure and stability. Under Armour really outdid themselves with the cushion setup on the Flow RN Twist; a full-length MicroG midsole, coupled with a 4D Foam insole, is what I call cushion heaven.

Pick up the Under Armour Flow RN Twist at Finish Line now for only $80.

Next up, the Speedform Fortis. The next trainer/runner to use Under Armour’s distraction-free Speedform technology. Under Amour’s Speedform technology returns with the same one-to-one fit that we all know and love, but this time a beefed up heel cup and added heel straps provide more stability and lockdown than previous Speedform models. Also, Under Armour uses their Charged MicroG, for more responsiveness, to cover a wide variety of training drills and movements.

You can pick up the Under Armour Speedform Fortis at UA.com now for $110.

Again, the folks at Under Armour have outdone themselves with the amount of technology packed into both the Speedform Fortis and Flow RN Twist. Stay tuned to WearTesters.com for the performance reviews on both models. If you have any questions or concerns on any of the two models, please let us know in the comments section below.

  1. I think the TWIST is the materials, the Flow Grid has a ‘grid-mesh’ with little squares, where the Flow Twist has a ‘net-mesh’ with the streak pattern.

Awesome reviews by the way, both shoes seem great!!!

  2. I bought a pair of UA fortis, done a few runs in them now. They FORCE my ankle to roll inwards stretching the ligaments down the inside of my calf and ankle. Also the upper material whilst looking breathable really isn’t. Overall i give these shoes a ‘sucks’/ 10
