The Fila Venom is back from 1994 — a time when bulky runners were being made by nearly every brand.
Now that the Internets want bulky dad shoes, footwear brands are digging through their archives to see what can come back; Reebok will be re-releasing the Aztrek come October, adidas is bringing back the Yung-1, and Fila just gave the Mindblower the retro treatment last month.
Constructed with leather, suede, and mesh — like most of the runners from the ’90s — the Fila Venom rides atop an EVA midsole. The shoe flaunts tons of aggressive overlays to complete the heritage look.
According to Fila UK, the Fila Venom will be releasing on May 25 in the UK at retailers like Hanon, Sneakersnstuff, Footpatrol, Titolo, Naked, 24 Kilates, and Offspring. It will retail for £89 (approx. $120 USD).
We’ll update you if the Fila Venom gets a Stateside release (which this writer hopes it does).
