To celebrate FILA’s signing of Hall of Famer Grant Hill to a lifetime deal the brand has put together a special capsule for ComplexCon. Hill’s iconic Grant Hill 2, known as the Fila 96, will return in a new colorway for the occasion.
Tomorrow, bloggers, hypebeasts, and brands will descend on Long Beach this year’s ComplexCon and FILA has something special for the event; at noon PST, the FILA booth (#i7) will host Grant Hill so the legend can meet fans and sign autographs.
And the booth will be stocked with product to get autographed. The brand has resurrected the Grant Hill 2, originally designed by Brandblack founder David Raysse, and given it a new ‘Hall of Fame’ build that pays homage to elements of Hill’s career.
The shoe will be offered in two bold looks — the iconic white and navy as well as a stealthy black build. Inspired by the 1996 original, the Grant Hill 2 Hall of Fame builds sport premium full grain leather, leather inner linings, and gold accents with speckled midsoles. Bright pops of color at the heels nod to the teams Hill played for while his number, 33, is featured in metallic gold on the insoles.
Both Grant Hill 2 Hall of Fame sneakers will drop alongside a stunning apparel collection comprised of tracksuits, tees, hoodies, woven jackets, and longsleeve crews. The garments boast the FILA/Hill logo, the signature 96 logo, and Hill’s number 33.
The Grant Hill 2 Hall of Fame will retail for $120 each and be available in limited numbers. The apparel ranges from $30 to $100. There is no official word yet as to whether these pieces will drop online after ComplexCon.
