We gave the Internets an exclusive first look at the Reebok Answer 4.5, a new sneaker for Allen Iverson that is inspired by his iconic arm sleeve. Now, we’ve got release dates, pricing information, and a detailed look.
In order to pay homage to one of the most recognizable accessories in the history of basketball, Reebok designer Craig Howard cut up the fan-favorite Answer 4 so that it could accommodate the new neoprene inner sleeve.
The Reebok Answer 4.5 features a leather upper, modern speed lacing system secured with rope laces, and repeat Iverson I3 branding up the throat. A.I.’s face is featured underfoot while Iverson branding hits the heel. While playable, the Answer 4.5 only features EVA for cushioning.
According to a source that spoke with WearTesters on the condition of anonymity, the Reebok Answer 4.5 will release in Hong Kong on August 29 for $130 so expect the shoe to hit the U.S. in late-August — early-September. However, it is likely that the shoe will retail for $140 USD when it comes Stateside, and it is set to debut in mainland China in October. We’ll update you when we have a confirmed Stateside release date.

damn I was hoping they’d throw in that new cushion they have and be like, hella playable, kinda like how jordan did the alpha 1 and the 8.0 or whatever
Man, the looks are great but it’s a shame that they didn’t place any cushion at all in there. At least some hexalite would have been good.
Yeah bro i agree with you at least put hexalite in their performance model if they won’t give us that real dmx. Smh with reebok now
140$ for just EVA? Hell nah I’d rather get some last season model that had more cushion option
Yup put in floatride at 140 then where talking
I don’t get it. They’ve release several casual/runner type shoes with DMX cushioning, why not throw some in here?
Wow. Design-wise, this looks pretty. And1 + air jordans.
Fit is probably the only thing that could save these at this point. Won’t turn into a Kyrie, but more serviceable to some degree.
