Renowned Mexican beer house Casa Modelo and skateboarding brand Supra have unveiled a special collection to celebrate la Dia de Los Muertos.
This exclusive capsule features two sneakers: the Skytop Especial and Vaider Negra. Both sneakers stay true to their Supra DNA and skateboarding roots while mimicking the color palettes and design of each respective beer.
“We were excited to collaborate with Casa Modelo on this capsule because we felt our brands represent similar lifestyles and share consumers,” said Kara Duffy, Supra’s Global Director of Product, in a statement.
The Skytop Especial flaunts gold-foiled leather and visually represents Modelo Especial, a crisp, golden Pilsner-style lager. The Vaider Negra is suited up in nubuck leather and medium linen weave with gold detailing that celebrates Modelo Negra, a rich, dark Munich Dunkel-style lager.
“Partnering with SUPRA on this project was an easy decision,” said Ann Legan, Vice President of Marketing for Casa Modelo at Constellation Brands, in a statement. “Modelo is known for championing the fighting spirit that represents the heart and soul of our beer’s heritage, and pairing that with SUPRA’s attitude and vibrant brand personality made for a natural match.”
The Casa Modelo x Supra Skytop Especial retails for $125 while the Vaider Negra retails for $100. Both sneakers will be available on November 1, Dia de Los Muertos, in limited quantities at select U.S. retailers and online at SupraFootwear.com.
