I’ve always been a 2k fan (I’m still pissed EA somehow found a way to have a monopoly and have Madden the only NFL game). With that said competition is always good. It pushes companies to innovate (hopefully NBA2K will improve its Create a player (better hair choices, more body types, etc…) and also lower prices (I remember when 2k was $30). To get my money NBA Live really needs to prove itself. Its had about a decade of irrelevance to fine tune its gameplay mechanics and finally get it right. In years past its been OK. It always felt like the player was ice skating. The graphics have also been WAY behind 2k’s. 2k has ALWAYS been better. Live always felt/looked cartoony. I remember playing NBA2K and NFL2K on my Dreamcast and being blown away. Those were truly game changers.
I have a feeling NBA Live 15 will be a lot like the Adidas Crazy Light Boost. It will have a ton of potential. Gamers will be interested. It will have a huge marketing campaign. And when its all said and done it will be a huge disappointment and people will give their money to the competition.
Live was so bad one year that they had to pull out the game(pun intended) for a year. 2K is miles ahead Live in how they handle the franchise. The champion studio can’t afford to give up the chokehold because the larger(by money) contending EA Sports studio “bullied” their way for the exclusive NFL license.
2K is practically flawless, other then some ignorant A.I. responses lol.

in 2k create a player they need to add more skin tones because the only options are like 4 shades of black and 3 white lol
Nba live needs all the help it can get.
2k has a better gameplay overall and is definitely less flawed but as far as textures go live has it in the bag. The skin looks more real in live, the ball, court, uniforms, and shoes all look much better in NBA live. The colors are way over saturated in 2k and everything from the shoes to the court to the players themselves all look like they’re made from the same material
Are you speaking on current gen or last gen? I know people have their own opinions, but I’m seeing exactly where you’re basing yours.
I was on live until 09 and I switched to 2k and I have 2k14 on the ps4. The graphics look exactly the same as 2k14 from the 2k15 trailers we’ve been seeing and I’m really not impressed

Back in the day, you had to create Jordan and max a character out on the Bulls with 99 stats lol. I was so confused as a kid how one player needed a separate license to be in the game unlike any other.

2K has pretty much always shat on Live, even Live last year was beyond bad. I hope Live actually pick their game up and do well, but i’m not holding my breath.
