If you’re into podcasts then you’ve definitely heard of Drink Champs, the “most professional unprofessional podcast.” Hosted by N.O.R.E., a legendary Queens rapper, and DJ EFN, a Miami-based DJ and record label exec, the dynamic duo have finally gotten their own sneaker by way of Ewing Athletics.
The premise of Drink Champs is simple: interview some of the greatest people from hip-hop’s storied culture and get drunk while doing it. It makes for phenomenally exciting audio — every episode legends like Fat Joe, Wyclef Jean, Big Daddy Kane, Jadakiss, Fabulous, Diddy, Angela Yee, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Ice Cube, and more tell never-before heard stories in an effort to document rap history.
Now, the Drink Champs have linked with Ewing Athletics for a limited edition Ewing 33 Hi. The shoe is draped in premium black nubuck and features neon yellow accents to mimic the Drink Champs logo. That logo is flaunted prominently on the tongues in yellow embroidery while “DRINK CHAMPS” hits the heels. The shoe rides atop a PU midsole with heavy speckling.
The Drink Champs x Ewing 33 Hi will release in very limited numbers this Friday, June 8, for $140 at EwingAthletics.com and select Ewing accounts.
