Detailed Look at the ANTA KT3 ‘Get Hot Stay Hot’

The FastPass team over in China has gotten a pair of Klay Thompson’s third signature sneaker, the ANTA KT3.

While we don’t know what to the ANTA KT3 will cost when it comes Stateside, the shoe retails for 599 Chinese Yuan (approx. $90). However, we now have a detailed understanding of the technology the shoe brings to the hardwood.

The A-WEB knit upper appears to be designed with ventilation in mind; the side panels feature open cells that should allow heat to escape, and the entire tongue uses a large open cell mesh. The only fuse reinforcement on the upper is used at the eyestay.

The KT3 features A-StableUP, a lateral forefoot anti-rollover fin that should prevent rollovers and keep the wearer stable. The A-StableUP reduces the need for a super wide forefoot outrigger.

Just look at that traction. The traction emanates from the ball of the foot and the heel with blades that form a fingerprint-like pattern. While the rubber is translucent, ANTA has never had problems delivering great traction on Klay Thompson’s signature line.

Cushioning is taken care of what ANTA calls A-HYBRID technology, used at the forefoot and heel. The outsole shows where the unit are located, but we don’t have much more information than that right now. What appears to be an OrthoLite insole is also included.

Finally, the KT3’s most notable feature may be its removable ankle strap. It buttons on to the tongue and secures the ankle via Velcro at either side of the heel.

Now that’ve gotten a better look at what ANTA is bringing with the KT3, are you excited for the new silhouette? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for FastPass’ deconstruction.

  1. I’m so-so about the general look of the shoes, but that’s a colorway. Whole shoe makes me think of a Huarache 2k4 and OG Hyper Rev, which sound promising imo.

  2. Who sells this line in the US? I liked this colorway since you previewed it some time ago. Does anyone know if they run small or true-to-size?

      1. I disagree with that. I know it’s a trend to hate on BBB but their shoe shoes, although copied pieces here and there from other shoes, looks better than anything UA and Jordan has out out as of late. And NW2303 has already explained that BBB has design consultants from SantaAna/Brandblack. So you can’t say BBB is ugly and Brandblack is cool looking or vice versa..

    1. I’ve said this many times but it’s the UA logo that makes their shoe even more ugly. But for casual wear I might actually buy the Curry 4 Low and if they release the PE CW of the Drive 4 Low that I’ve seen Dennis Smith and Josh Jackson wore I’m definitely copping.

      1. Totally agree with this and probably said in a comment as well a while back: the UA logo can seriously make or break a shoe. Cam Newton’s training shoe looks aweomse until the UA logo. The UA logo on my Curry One Icon is a bit subdued, and that just really helped the aesthetic in my eyes. UA seems to have caught on with the Curry 4, as some colorways match the upper and logo color so it’s less apparent.

  3. Hey Weartesters, can you let us know who will be selling these in the US? I really want this colorway and like James W asked, I need to know if they run TTS or if they run small like Tony Parker’s Peak shoes. The shape of these is sick!!!
