The adidas Deerupt is another runner not meant for running from adidas Originals.
Polarizing is the first word that comes to mind when I look at the latest model from adidas Originals.
Drawing inspiration from the 1979 adidas Marathon Trainer, the adidas Deerupt Runner looks to capture the hearts of those that want to stand out. It features a lightweight mesh build designed to fit into today’s trends of runners that look like runners but aren’t quite up to performance running standards.
Mesh webbing is overlaid across the entire upper and midsole to give the Deerupt its interesting look. The midsole is comprised of standard EVA which sits atop a stretch-web rubber outsole.
The adidas Deerupt Runner has officially launched in multiple colorways today at retailers like Eastbay.com for $100.
Feel free to share your thoughts on how adidas Originals is doing with models like the Deerupt Runner and stay tuned for updates on future models.
I know it’s unlikely, but do you think the meshed midsole is similar to HOVR?
