With retro styles more on trend than ever DC Shoes is looking to recapture its ’90s skating legacy with the new 94 Collection.
The 94 collection blends DC Shoes’ rich athletic skate heritage with modern silhouettes inspired by the brand’s ’90s classics. The collection features an array of apparel items including the bold DC logo hoodies, tank tops, and reinterpreted footwear styles.
The Kalis Lite ($75), a contemporary style, is a reinterpretation of Josh Kalis’ first skate shoe with DC Shoes, the Kalis 1. The original shoe, a bulky boot-like sneaker with tons of padding, has now become a low-profile casual runner offered alongside the Syntax ($80), a more traditional skate shoe.
However, the best part of the collection may be the both modern and old school bottoms; there are joggers for the newer generation and camo parachute pants ($70) for those that miss that ’90s flair. Also included in the collection are light wash worker relaxed fit jeans — a staple of the skating style back then.
DC Shoes’ 94 Collection is now available and pieces range from $19 to $80. To shop the 94 Collection click here.
