Under Armour is famous for reusing tooling setups across multiple lines. This approach allows a brand to spend a lot of money on research and development, in order to create something that works, and then (hopefully) recoup some of those costs by using that tooling on multiple silhouettes. It is an effective strategy that can yield interesting hybrid models like the Under Armour Longshot.
Images hit the Internets of what could be an upcoming basketball model from UA. It uses the tooling from the Curry 2 but alters the heel cup. The upper, reminiscent of the Curry 2 but not identical, uses angular lines that echo the midsole, and what looks to be a mesh tongue. All in all, it could provide great ventilation.
There is no official word yet on what space in Under Armour’s basketball line up this will fill, but when we have more information we’ll update you. Thoughts? Let us know.

I like the last two pairs. They’re look better than the Curry 3s.
Trash. UA better come up with another cushion setup, or bring back Micro G.
I would hold up calling it trash, we have no info yet. There are tons of UA models that use Micro G (ClutchFit Drive 3), we’ve reported on them. Most UA models are also getting Micro G sockliners for added step-in comfort.
Please bring back Micro G on some models.

No branding on the midsole or etc. but if that’s charged again, I’ll pass.
I’m feeling ’em, very 90s look to them.
Curry 2 meets Nike Hyperfuse. Looks good.
I like the curry 3 better than the 2’s, having used them both, still, nice shoe
Speaking about Micro G, I recently went to Japan and got a pair of UA Micro G Nihon at their UA outlet. It’s a basketball shoe made exclusively for Japan. Aesthetically, there’s too much design for my taste but was really cheap (around $50) so I decided to try them out. They are actually a very comfortable. I use it strictly to play ball outdoors. But yes, I really like UA’s Micro G technology.
Thanks for the tip!!
