We recently previewed Crossover Culture’s second line of performance footwear, and we have a detailed look and review on it’s main basketball shoe — the Kayo LP2.
Upgraded from the original line the Crossover Culture Kayo LP2 feels like it could be a sleeper hit.
Its shark tooth-inspired traction feels very promising, but it’s the revamped LP cushion — LP2 — that has me very excited. The original LP cushion was okay. Nothing mind-blowing, but it got the job done. However, the LP2 cushion felt great straight out of the box. In fact, they felt so good that I thought the insole could have been providing most of the comfort I had been feeling so I took it out… and the shoe was still very comfortable.
The 3D molded knit is back, but it feels better than the last round of footwear. They also have been upgraded in the looks department. Granted, that last bit is subjective and, as we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
At $110, the Crossover Culture Kayo LP2 could wind up being a sleeper hit this Summer season. I’ll be sure to get started on testing these right away as I know you guys are as intrigued by new brands as I am. Fingers crossed they play as good as they look and feel.
The Crossover Culture Kayo LP2 is available now for pre-order will ship out beginning May 24.
Bold colors and design choices can sometimes look like tacky cheap toys. These pull it off and really POP. Might have to pick these or the lows up sometime soon.
