The guests on Sneaker Shopping with Complex are getting better.
Better in the sense that they’re bringing in people that aren’t all of a sudden into sneakers. I’ve always connected with the older generation much more than my own generation, and while I’m no Skip Bayless fan, this episode was enjoyable. I found his personal tastes in shoes to be pretty intriguing and it’s always a good laugh when he starts talking about LeBron James.

Weird, I thought Skip needed a cane to walk. Never tried the EXT 11’s but I assume they do without the posite, and hopefully aren’t the same toe-cram the regular 11’s are. Not a big fan of how this segment has to blurt out the tab. I guess petty stuff draws appeals to *some* viewers, but I mean really…it’s way off-point when it comes to showcasing the guest.
Anyway, I’m a fan of Skip’s body of work. He’s not quite a troll, but a pretty calculated character in debates to actually get them going. A devil’s advocate yet the appeal to the popular insecurities in outside sports opinions. At some point First Take’s dynamic was just reduced to seeing Stephen A get triggered and play the token smart guy since everyone bought into Skip’s crafted cringe opinions. FS1 made the right move to take him while LeBron and KD are as hot of topics as they’ve ever been. Draws in people that get worked up over sports opinions, as well as taps into the insecurities of people that share such opinions. He’s great at creating such a stance that effectively draws viewers.
It’s no different than those political news anchors. Kinda sad the standard of journalism is to simply bait viewers and sensationalize everything, but in the realm of sports, it’s just personalities catering to the overall scope of entertainment. Crazy because he was a regular journalist early on and now he’s a personality.
Damn i thought Skip was taller.
“This hurts me to say, as Ive been reading WearTesters for a long time and consider them my source.. ” that big mouth black guy, Stephen A Smith.
Skip apparently runs 5-6 miles every morning, based on what they say on the show sometimes.
When he left First Take, I stopped watching and I watch him and Shannon on Undisputed. They discuss the same topics far too often, but still a much better dynamic overall. Skip and SAS both have huge egos, but SAS is more up front and obnoxious about it (the SAS/KD drama shows that).
Steph Curry is a far better role model than Lebron. He had to work 100x harder to just be relevant. He’s also never had a baby mama. The mother of his children was already his wife.
