This Colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High The Return Is Inspired by the Bucks

Seriously, how funny would it be if Jordan Brand named these the Air Jordan 1 Retro High The Return ‘Santa’s Elves PE’. The red and green tones really bring out the christmas spirit of this hybrid silhouette that Jordan himself wore during the 198-86 NBA season – albeit in OG colorways – to get the best of both what the Air Jordan 1 & 2 have to offer.

This ‘Gorge Green’ colorway is inspired by the first team Jordan faced after coming back from a broken foot, the Milwaukee Bucks, where he dropped 12 points… in 13 minutes. The beige suede panels are a nice addition, but i’m not sure why JB felt like a gum bottom would work well with a similar colored upper. Regardless, this is a 30th year anniversary remaster, so the quality is going to be A1.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High The Return ‘Gorge Green’ is set for a December 12th release date at Nike.com.
