Jordan Brand’s Frank Cooker has winterized the fan-favorite Air Jordan 9 ‘Olive’ to create the Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot.
While few details are known regarding how extensively the sneaker has been winterized (there is no mention of a GORE-TEX membrane for water resistance or a Thinsulate lining for added warmth), the sneakerboot now features a D-ring lacing system and studded details.
It rides atop a new outsole with aggressive lugs for improved traction that harkens back to the original sneaker. The classic beef ‘n broccoli look is still present, and you can check out a comparison between the original Air Jordan 9 ‘Olive’ and the Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot below.
According to Cooker, the Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot drops on December 6 for $190.
Moreover, it looks like additional colorways of this winterized Air Jordan are coming.
