Step aside OVO XII. In order to celebrate Allen Iverson’s induction to the NBA Hall of Fame, West Coast sneaker juggernaut BAIT linked up with Reebok for the very limited Question Mid ‘Ice Cold’.
With a run of only 500 pairs, this sneaker draws inspiration from AI’s talent, skills, style, and attitude — man was just ice cold on court. BAIT took the off-white look that is growing in popularity and stepped it way up. The upper utilizes a silver metallic ice cube upper, white premium boxed leather, and off-white pigskin suede accents. The white midsole, a staple on this iconic silhouette, has been specially treated with a reflective “drip” speckle to illustrate the condensation of the ice cube upper.
Notable details include the tumbled leather tongue, leather interior, and debossed gold BAIT branding at the tongue. The white insoles also get gold dual branding. The entire shoe sits atop a frosty white outsole (a similar outsole is featured on the white/white Twilight Zone Pump and it’s excellent).
Of course, BAIT is including three sets of laces with the Reebok Question ‘Ice Cold’ — white athletic rope, white waxed rope, and off-white leather rope — and each represents a different element of Iverson. Moreover, BAIT is also honoring AI with a collaborative collectible figure and basketball; the BAIT x Allen Iverson x Coolrain “Ice Cold” collectible figure and BAIT x Spalding x Allen Iverson Hall of Fame Basketball will release online at BAITme.com. There are only 20 pieces of each unique collectible.
The BAIT x Reebok Question Mid ‘Ice Cold’ is a BAIT global exclusive and will be available in all seven BAIT chapter stores for $200 on October 22 in sizes 5-13. It will be available online via raffle, so click here to enter. You have one more day to enter and the ship date is Monday, October 24.
