After Fila announced that it was reviving the Mindblower with 50 different collaborators, I couldn’t wait to see what creatives would do with the silhouette. Now, Burn Rubber has unveiled its Fila Mindblower ‘Feezy’ and it’s Yeezy-inspired.
A go-to sneaker spot in Detroit — and a veteran sneaker collaborator — Burn Rubber has applied the ‘Solid Grey’ colorway from the Yeezy Wave Runner 700 to its Fila Mindblower. The green and orange accents from the Wave Runner appear where one would expect them, and matching rope laces even tie the shoes together.
The Fila Mindblower rides atop a cream EVA outsole and stays true to its 1995 runner roots. The Fila Mindblower logo stretches from the outsole to the upper while the tongues receive co-branded Burn Rubber and Fila patches.
The Burn Rubber x Fila Mmidblower ‘Feezy’ releases on Friday, May 4, at 10:00 AM EDT. It will be available exclusively at BurnRubberSneakers.com. The boutique did not announced a price, but all of the Fila Mindblower collabs have retailed for $110.
