The founder of Brandblack, David Raysse, has given us a peak at what’s coming fro the brand in 2018.
Dubbed the Brandblack Nomo, this sneaker uses premium full grain leather overlays and air mesh. Like the Brandblack Aura, the Nomo is a mix of old school and contemporary. It also rides atop Vibram tooling, so we know that the Vibram-Brandblack partnership is continuing into next year.
According to Raysse, the Brandblack Nomo will arrive for SS18. The Gama II hasn’t dropped yet so it may also arrive in 2018.
Yeezy is doing the same thing to shoes that apple did to phones. Making way for stupid ass shit. Apple says no headphone jack, it starts disappearing in phones. Yeezy makes an ugly af shoe? Here we are.
Idt this shoe is ugly at all…and attributing that trend to Yeezy — you wildin for that ?
First thing I thought of was Yeezy as well but mainly from a retro, tennis looking shoe perspective. Yeezy’s are ugly af, these are nice.
Also, if Yeezy makes Ugly AF a thing…I’m done with fashion.
But Yeezy ain’t invent the “old man shoe” or the “bulky midsole” look. He is using tooling from adidas kicks from 2001-2004. He ain’t invent shit in that respect.
Moreover, dad shoes and old man shoes been around forever — they will be around until people stop wearing kicks.
The dad kick fad continues
i think these are much much nicer than the wave runners personally….and they won’t cost anywhere near as much
still wouldn’t wear them, but yeah, as far as dad kicks go these are acceptable
I like ’em, probably one of the best new designs using that late 80’s look, the premium materials really finish the look well.
to me, these look very distinguished and well put together
I gotta get more angles of this one, but I like that Raysse is bringing out some of these models. I really dig the old school look w/ minimal branding.
Again, more angles will really tell if I would go in or not though!
It’s not crazy to think there was some inspiration with the Wave Runner’s attempt to elevate dad shoes. The Viento was undeniably taking a good share of cues from the Ultraboost/Pure Boost. They’re cool design exercises, though.
Why everybody on here thinking dad shoes or yeezy with these. These remind me more of a classic New Balance runner than anything else imo. Im with it
