Amid all the outlandish colorways that release on sneakers nowadays, sometimes a nice subtle colorway is a breath of fresh air.
Gone are multicolored uppers and neon outsoles on this Air Jordan XXXI Low. Instead, it’s a straight black sneaker. The Flyweave/leather upper, Jumpman on the heel, midsole and outsole are all blacked out with the only hits of color coming in the form of a gold Jumpman in the insole and the metallic gold accent at the heel.
This particular colorway of the AJ XXXI Low seems to be the low cut equivalent of the AJ XXXI ‘Jordan Brand Classic East’ that was shown a few months ago. However, this pair does away with the white midsole, translucent outsole, gold Jumpman on the heel, and the shiny leather.
Performance-wise, these should be on-par with the previous iterations of the AJ XXXI Low because full-length Zoom Air is still in place. The only difference may be the traction — the translucent outsole has been replaced with solid rubber, so that should be an upgrade.

They look ? Plus the leather looks like it’s the good kind, not anything cheap.
It’s still vegan leather. Looks nice but doesn’t feel supple like the real deal though.
Oh well, hopefully it’s better than what we’ve been getting the last couple months. Fingers crossed.
No frills. No story telling. Just straight up performance. Could replace my 29 lows….
Ooh nice. The 29 Low was a great one.
Finally, something for the rainy season in the Philippines! ???
