Nike has combined the VaporMax and the Air Max Plus to create a “new” silhouette that should please Air Max fans.
The Internet seems to be split surrounding Nike’s latest trend of swapping uppers and toolings; the brand recently swapped toolings between the Air Max Plus and Air Max 97, and now it seems like several silhouettes of the past will be “updated” with VaporMax Air units.
The latest is the Air Max Plus, which ditches its bulky tooling of the ’90s for the contemporary VaporMax unit to create the Air VaporMax Plus. The upper appears to be a neoprene-based synthetic, and it retains the plastic supports across its upper from the Air Max Plus.
It is unclear whether Nike intends for this silhouette to be a casual-wear runner, like it’s upcoming Air Max 270.
There is no word yet on when we’ll get this hybrid, but we’ll update you when we know more. For know, let us know how much you’d pay for this hybrid in the comments below.

these are awful
what on earth are nike thinking?!
they have a good thing going with the ultra updates of the air maxes, IMO, no need to ruin every air max by putting a vapormax sole at the bottom
