Right in time for Valentine’s Day, the Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Strawberries & Cream’ in Red/Cream will arrive at Packer Shoes at 12 noon EST on February 6 — at both locations and online.
This Asics Gel Lyte III takes its theme from the iconic and enjoyable British dish. Ironically, Americans have taken the dish for Valentine’s Day, which takes place in winter. However, according to the Tante Marie Culinary Academy, the strawberries and cream dish is traditionally served at Wimbledon where over 22 tons of strawberries and around 7,000 liters of cream are consumed. A rather un-sexy amount of food to consider for Valentine’s Day, but this Asics Gel Lyte III executes its theme expertly.
The perforated red suede upper is accented by cream and pink tones at the midsole, inner lining, and outsole. The Asics side panel branding flaunts a cream-to-strawberry gradient and the laces and midsole get speckled for some pop. The tried and true Asics Gel cushioning in these makes them more comfortable with every wear so enjoy if you plan on copping come February 6!
