Under Armour just unveiled their Clutch Fit technology and here we have a first look at a trainer utilizing Under Armour’s new innovative technology in the Under Armour Highlight Trainer.
From what we can see the upper consists of the Clutch Fit technology previously seen on a new basketball model the Micro G Drive. The Clutch Fit technology is supposed to act like a second skin and “activate” under pressure. The cushion setup is made with 4D Foam which is also used in the newly released Under Armour Speedform Apollo. A mixture of new technology and proven technology make this trainer an intriguing option.
Its great to see Under Armour continue to innovate and explore new technologies. Not just applying it to one model is a great move as well. All types of athletes will be able to experience the Clutch Fit technology and perform under pressure.

Sick post man, keep doing what you do brother.
I like ClutchFit so far, I’m really excited they kept the FootPrint sole though.
I’ve been looking at getting a pair of trainers, would you recommend any of the previous UA models, or should I wait for these.
Also, what is 4D foam? Is that completely different from Micro G foam?
4D is their new stuff. Haven’t tried it out though.

Under Armour has used 4D Foam for some time in their running shoes and football cleats as an insole. What 4D Foam does is provide the wearer with a sort of custom fit or mold in the sockliner of the shoes. It helps with stabilty and fit within the shoe. This particular shoe uses a 4D Foam insole and a Micro G midsole.
hi guys. can you play basketball in these?
