I love techwear, and I love blacked-out synthetic materials that make pants look like future clothing. So, when I got the chance to review the Under Armour Unstoppable Gore Windstopper pant I leapt at it.
This review has taken so long because I have loved wearing these pants. They’re super lightweight, breathable, feature a textured knit body fabric, GORE-TEX panels, and the seams are perfectly placed for my body (I’m a huskier gentleman). I’ve worn the pants for nearly two months, washed them countless times (do not dry them, they will air dry quickly), and I am happy to report that there is no pilling to speak of.
The Gore Windstopper pant is also cuffed at the bottom, which took some getting used to for me. Yes, the cuffs make your sneakers look great — especially on Instagram, because the pants also have an iridescent sheen — and that’s a huge bonus. When I decided to workout in these pants, the ribbed cuffs were tight enough to keep the pant legs in place with no bunching.
The legs are also tapered, which worried me when I began to sweat, but the 91% polyester/9% elastane material wicked sweat well and dried quickly. The only downside to working out in these pants was the drop crotch fit, although I just pulled them up higher and secured them the drawcord.
The main reason I waited to publish this piece was price. When the UA Unstoppable Gore Windstopper Pant released it was $100, a bit steep for me. Now, the pant is on sale for $60, and at that price it’s a winner.
