An Official Look at the Nike AlphaDunk ‘Hoverboard’

Holy Zoom Air, Batman!

We’ve seen large volume Zoom Air units before, but the upcoming Nike AlphaDunk might be the most Zoom Air we’ve ever seen.

I know there are full-length Max Zoom units in shoes like the LeBron 10 and KD9, but those are a little different in terms of structure to the standard Zoom Air unit we see in many of Nike/Jordan products. This version of Zoom Air is engineered like standard Zoom Air, it just looks like its on steroids.

How will this feel? How will it flex? Will it pop? Will lateral support be an issue? Will mobility be an issue?

There are so many questions I don’t know where to start. All I know is that these look like they’ll be a lot of fun. If they work well.

Traction looks like it’ll perform great and I hope the materials hold the foot secure enough with that much cushion sitting beneath it.

There is no official release date for this ‘Overboard’ colorway, but the Nike AlphaDunk is said to be releasing on August 30.
