If you asked for this, well, here you go.
If the Air Jordan 4 ‘Toro’ was a runner, this is probably what it would look like.
There is a red mesh upper with perforated windows for ventilation, similar to the AJ 4. In terms of cushioning, there is a Phylon midsole with a Zoom Air unit which should provide adequate comfort for running (the tooling is taken directly from the Nike Flyknit Racer).
What’s interesting to note is that the lace wings that are on the medial and lateral sides look to be painted on instead of two independent pieces. It remains to be seen if that is the case.
There has been no confirmed date on when this Jordan 89 Racer colorway is set to drop or how much it will cost. Keep it locked to WearTesters for any updates.

Seeing these picture, the wings don’t look “painted on” but more of a fuse put on for show just like the back tab and grey eyelets. The nike Racer was always too narrow for me. so not sure how these would be different. But I like the idea i guess.
Taking design cues from past classics and using them for current performance models is a cool idea in theory. Unfortunately doing so takes an artistic hand to fully execute properly. They failed with this one
