Nike has been pumping out hybrids like the red-hot Air Max 97 Plus and Air VaporMax Plus for nearly a year and consumers appear to be responding. The latest hybrid combines two classic Air Max models to create the Air Max 95 / 93.
Emblazoned with classic “air max” logos from the Air Max 95, this sneaker rides atop the tooling of the recently retro-ed Air Max 93. The tooling, which is comprised of a heel Max Air unit and a foam midsole, rides beneath an Air Max 95 upper constructed of the usual mesh and leather. Interestingly, the tooling opts for the waffled outsole and window from the Air Max 95, not the Air Max 93.
According to reliable leaker US11, expect the Air Max 95 / 93 to arrive at retailers in the coming weeks. There has been no official word on pricing.
