Air Jordan XX8 SE – Detailed Look
I actually like the blue and grey colorway. I’m surprised jordan brand didn’t send you the cp3 7 or these yet. Back to the cp3, are there zoom units in each if the pods on the bottom, or just one under the ball of the foot ?
Just under the ball of the foot. The rest is dual density foam like the past CP3s.
This just clinched performance shoe of the year in my book with that price tag. Still makes you wonder why that shroud makes up almost half the price of the regular XX8
The Brand Manager at Jordan said it was because Tinker wanted to use a specific material for the shroud that was a licensed product. So they basically had to buy another company’s stuff then pay to be able to sell it on their stuff. Business is stingy like that.
Saw a black pair with gold accents online a few days back…. waiting till those release. Held off on the xx8’s because of the price tag but will cop these…. then play in them till theyre beat up
A website that I saw said that that colorway was just a sample and will not be released unfortunately.

Bit of a weird question, but all of these new Air Jordan’s are made by Jordan brand now aren’t they? How long ago did they split off from Nike?
Also, don’t really like these colorways, but the pricing is amazing. Jordan brand is going to kill it with these shoes at that price point. Should be one of the best shoes of the year, and I might buy multiple colorways if the performance is the same as the XX8. I think I will have to wait for different colorways though.
You think these will have availability like the Super.Fly 2s? Are they going to produce a lot more of these than the XX8s?
Technically Jordan Brand is still part of Nike hence they can use Nike Tech.
In terms of a separate brand or making Air Jordans under Jordan Brand it started with the Air Jordan XII.
They are a separate brand under the same umbrella which is Nike. Nike charges JB for TM logos such as the Nike Air etc. but they are and always have been allowed to use the tech. Not sure why but it must have been part of the initial contract and has remained that way ever since.
interesting. on the otherhand, Michael Jordan seems to be doing well as far as selling shoes is concerned.

i’m not usually into colorways like these, but i really like how the camo print goes all the way around the shoe, how it’s on the outsole as well…might look into the westbrook CW…

I wasn’t initially digging the camo prints on the teaser pics of the SEs. It appears to be growing on me because the UNCs are okay while I really like the Westbrook PEs and Bel Airs. Maybe I’ll return my red elephant XX8s to get 2 pairs of the SEs instead…
So 100$ lower and the only thing missing is the shroud?
All the cushioning is the same?
When do these become widely available?

Hey everybody or anybody, I’m in New Zealand and we were never graced by the xx8 and our footlockers don’t stock the superfly 2s so I never got to experience either of the shoes.. Really keen on trying out the flight plate so I was wondering if it’d be worth waiting for the SE or if I should just order in a pair of the superflys? opinions?
150 dollars, I’m getting these. I already have the superfly 2s and am totally in love with it. Was going to get crazy light 3s but looks like that might miss out… Too many shoes not enough time, or money.
I heard that the shroud on the XX8’s cost Nike $100/yrd thats why the cost of them is a lot higher then the SE’s. Not sure how acurate that cost is. My XX8 cements arrive today and I can’t wait to play in them tonight.
Wonder how the XX8SEs will fit compared to the XX8. I love how the shroud locks me in when zipped up to the collar of the inner shoe.
So excited for these I already love the XX8, without the shroud it is just gonna become more breathabilty. 🙂
I really wanna see how the solid colors will look. I think Jordan Brand has a winner. I haven’t played in the XX8 but the reviews and comments from others make it sound like the best shoe out for performance. The SuperFly2 are great so I can only imagine these…

I know you said you were trying get somerhing special done, but everyone has been waiting so long we just need a date, a time, a place, anything even a hint. hey NW, will get a pair of early release? i have a concern on sizing, since the toe box of super fly2 are wide, i bought a sz9.5 which is my true size, i guess i should run half size down. do you think the same issue would happen on these 28 lite?
IMO, I actually like the blue-green super.fly 2’s more than any of those xx8 SE’s.

Any idea when these are due out Nightwing? It did say 11th October, but they are not on the release calendar anymore. Have they been pushed back?
