An Official Look at the Air Jordan XII Retro ‘Nylon’

Air Jordan 12 - Neoprene-Full

Retros for days! That’s what we the consumer have been seeing constantly. It also doesn’t help the high price point makes retro products less desirable, however, for some, it’s the name or label that resonates. An old school shoe has gotten some updated flair and Jordan Brand is bringing something different to the table.

Air Jordan 12 - Neoprene-Angle 1

The updated Air Jordan 12 Retro features a fully modified upper that utilizes nylon backed by neoprene. The material should wrap nicely on foot. The lateral side still features the leather (synthetic), the usual Phylon midsole, and same rubber outsole. The shoe also features the same full-length Zoom Air loved by many. This particular model resembles the “Friends & Family” pair in collaboration with Public School NYC. Suffice to say, sneakerheads will be lining up for these.

The Air Jordan XII Retro ‘Nylon’ is slated to release on September 10 with a hefty price tag of $190. Do you plan on grabbing a pair? What do you think of the updated upper material? Let us know what you think in the comments.

  1. Look really clean and probably would cop but $190 is steep for a student….especially for neoprene and synthetic leather. Most likely will skip these and just get a pair of Rose 7 PK since boost is life.

  2. That strip of “leather” looks super, super cheap.
For crying out loud, just make the whole thing neoprene

  3. Looked cheap in the leaked pics. Looks better here. Theoretically there’s some potential with fit, and I guess advertised as “waterproof” they can make for near $200 beater 12s.

Gonna have to see these in person to really know if I’d like them.

    1. Not saying you can’t spend ya money how you see fit but come on that don’t even sound right 200$ beaters Js? Might sound like a broken record but at what point do the prices stop increasing for experiments and using old as hell material

  4. personally, I like these iterations of the J12 compared to the FLU Game C/W. but I have to agree that the price brings a sour taste to the shoe.

  5. There are far too many choices for comfort that are better priced. Then, you can’t even give me real leather? Do they look nice? Yeah! But is that enough to make a case for $190 plus tax and maybe shipping? Not to mention that if you’re in Canada, you’re getting raped even more so! C’mon son.
