The Air Jordan ‘Alternate Collection’ is my favorite of the upcoming 2016 lineup.
The 5’s were a PE that never released and they’re not an MJ PE either. The tongue on them has been changed since the last time the low 5’s dropped, but they look better this way so I’m not mad. Those 4’s though…you cannot have those 4’s. You must allow me to grab one in my size first, then you can have them. Not only are those 4’s a sample that never dropped, but they’re in classic Bulls colors too. Yes, the Fire Reds are as well, but nothing beats a simple, classic, Air Jordan in a clean White/ Red colorway. Plus these are looking closer to the OG’s than ever before. No, the netting on the side isn’t facing the right way, but the lace crown things (the plastic pieces) are the right shape this time. Then there are the ‘what if’ 2’s. I say what if because the 2’s never had a black based colorway in ’89. So think of them as the what could have been Air Jordan 2’s.
THE ALTERNATE COLLECTION
30 years ago, Michael Jordan shocked the world by unveiling exclusive colored-up performance footwear on the hardwood. His bold, instantly recognizable shoes sparked a worldwide craze. Presently known as player exclusives, these unique on-court color ways are highly prized by athletes and collectors alike.
As a celebration of the Air Jordan Franchise’s 30th Anniversary, the brand unveils three retro silhouettes that stem from this phenomenon and posit what Jordan’s player exclusive footwear would look like. The Air Jordan II, Air Jordan IV and Air Jordan V Low incorporate colors consistent with the Chicago-based team Jordan played for during his early years in the league.
The leather quality looks great on these. I might have to get those 4’s. IMO low top 5’s just look kind of weird.
Oh these are very nice very nice
When in 2016 do they drop?
