Here is the Performance Review for the Air Jordan 8.0. I did make a mistake as far as the material inside the shoe goes, the inner boot is not Neoprene on the OG & Retro AJVIII… its pretty much all the same material from OG to AJ8.0.
I liked the shoe overall. Best for power players and high fliers. Guards that travel without the ball and roam around the perimeter would be a good fit as well. PG’s or aggressive scorers may want to look for another option.
Traction- 9
Cushion- 10

Overall score 7.2/10
Thanks for the support!!!
Brooks Glycerin 22 Performance Review
The Brooks Glycerin 22 releases in early February 2025 and continues a long-running, high cushion line. It tends…
I’m really disappointed in Jordan Brand. Here’s a few points that got stuck in my head.
1) If you can make non quality retroes, why not make some quality retroes?
2) All this improvement and not 1 ventilation hole?
3) Really would be pissed if I blew $150 and my midsole starting to fall off.
Good review as always, looking foward to your upcoming ones except for the Rookie. When it comes to Nike, Orange Boxes = Ball Kicks and Brown Boxes = Casual.
Yeah man, that brown box was a dead giveaway. Seeing Penny rock them on court gave me hope though
Nice review as always…and I notice in the background…Action Comics…is that an original or “Retro”
Thanks bro! Its a reprint from the 80s, if it were OG thatd be crazy!
Lmfao at 0 ventilation rating. Is that possible? I’m honestly surprised they performed as good as they did. I stopped studying JB for a while now unless it’s a retro or the new signature Air Jordan.
If there wasnt ventilation then yes lol. I couldnt justify giving them. 1-3 on the breathability to be honest. They locked down your foot so well that the additional moisture didnt cause blisters like the Under Armour Micro G Clutch so it wasnt horrible but still, there was zero ventrilation.
hey nightwing! i am your avid follower and love your reviews. I know this is off topic but just had some questions about the Air Jordan 2011 Q Flight. do they fit the same as the Air Jordan 2011? i wear 10.5 in air jordan 2011 and wore an 11 in kobe V’s, 11 in Lebron 8 v1’s. Thank YOU!!
Go true to sz with the q flights. The interchangeable midsoles were diff heights so they ended up messing with the fit a bit but the q flights were perfectly fine.
I’m really having trouble choosing between this and the Jordan Melo M8. I noticed that you gave both a perfect 10 on cushion and that’s my primary basis on getting a shoe. Another thing that i look for is court feel. I like my shoes to be low to the ground. Sadly, I won’t be able to try them on in store because I could only get them online. I am a combo guard and I have wide feet. With that being said, which shoe would you suggest I get? Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
The 8.0 is a bit lower to the ground but they may not work for wider feet.
Hey nightwing, I play a point guard and i was wondering how well this shoe would do for me. I saw your video review on it and saw the slippage problem on the forefoot. Besides that, is there any outlying reasons why a 1 guard would not be fit for this shoe? Also, because of the durability of the leather, would it be possible to make perforations on the medial, lateral, and tongue of the shoe? Thanks so much,
You could prob get away w putting perforations along the side panels if you really need it. Im a 1 & 2 G and these
Were fine for me.
Hey have you ever played in the ts lightswitch/Gil ii zero ? What do you think about the upcoming zoom revis 1 for basketball ?
