In early May we reported that the Air Jordan 2 ‘Melo’ would be returning in June to celebrate Carmelo Anthony. Now, Nike has official unveiled the sneaker, and confirmed its release date.
As we previously reported, the Air Jordan 2 ‘Melo’ will release on June 9 for an expected $190. Early leaks in 2017 had rumored that this PE would be back and now, fans of Melo and the Air Jordan 2 can rejoice. The shoe honors Carmelo Anthony’s rookie season and his time with the Denver Nuggets.
If all the technology stays the same as previous Air Jordan 2 retro models, there should be full-length encapsulated Air for cushioning and great traction despite the shoe’s old school look (which this writer happens to love). Expect the Air Jordan 2 ‘Melo’ PE to release via Nike SNKRS and at retailers like Eastbay. Will you be picking it up next month? Let us know.
