We have another look at the upcoming Air Jordan 13 Retro Low in the ‘Hornets’ colorway, and there are things I love… and things I don’t.
The things I like… the shape of the shoe and materials look to be nice. They even put back the little metal (could be plastic, but they were originally metal) Jumpman logo on the heel instead of those cheap plastic molded logos we had on the last run of 13 Lows. But, I dislike the midsole lacking the suede. We see suede on the PE pairs for athletes… so why can’t we get the shoe the way it was originally designed? I understand that it may have been a good choice for the Grey Toe 13 Retro due to potential bleeding issues, but now it blows that potential theory out of the water and just makes it look like you are cutting corners… which is what you’re doing.
Bring back the suede on the midsole, and I’ll love them. I’ll still pickup a couple of great colorways, because I love the 13 and I love low tops, but I won’t get as many as I would have had they been properly done.
