The Air Jordan 11 Retro returns in original form this Holiday season — sort of.
It’s about damn time Jordan Brand put the Jumpman back the way it’s supposed to be. We thought that would’ve happened on last year’s 72-10 11s since they were labeled as a “remastered” pair of shoes, but we all know how the remastered stuff works. Just kidding. Nobody knows…not even Jordan Brand.
Not only is the logo facing the correct direction, but the patent leather has come back. Now, there’s a lot of patent leather on the shoe. It’s funny because we’ve been used to seeing (and buying) the brand’s knock-off version of the 11 for so long that now, a pair that better resembles the OG looks like a knock-off. However, this is the way an 11 is supposed to look. Well, remember when we said sort of?
There’s a 45 on the heel. That’s not supposed to be there. It’s supposed to have the 23, but this version of the ‘Space Jam’ 11 is based off of a PE pair that MJ wore in the Playoffs. Not sure if he actually laced these up in the movie Space Jam, as he wore the number 23 in the movie, but who knows.

When they retro a model like these 11’s, are the other variants like 11 low’s with the mesh triangle windows, soon to follow? (Aka the only Retro I think I’d ever actually let myself spend the cash on)
Or does Nike just kind of cycle through and reprint the stuff at random?
They released the IE version of the low not too long ago so it’s doubtful.

As someone who turned away from multiple chances at the 72-10 (dude everyone had multiple chances), I’m pretty pressed to try and land these.
I think i will pass them. I have already on my list True Blue 3s and IXs.
Almost as nice as the OG, the extra blue outsole made them look like a knock off, the 2001 retro looked a lot more like the OG
Yearly money grab
