After months of leaks, the Air Jordan 11 ‘Prom Night’ release date is finally official thanks to Jordan Brand.
At Jordan Brand’s Summer 2018 showcase the company unveiled the upcoming Air Jordan 11 ‘Prom Night’. Its nickname, ‘Prom Night’, isn’t official — just it’s another one of those nicknames created by the Internets.
In truth, this blackout Air Jordan 11 is inspired by Michael Jordan and his nickname, the “Black Cat.” That same theme has spawned several blackout Air Jordan builds including the Air Jordan 32 ‘Black Cat’ and Air Jordan 31 ‘Black Cat’.
This latest Air Jordan 11 build uses suede uppers and metal Jumpman icons at the heels for luxe details. It will come in the usual Air Jordan 11 packaging, and it will debut just in time for proms and graduations.
Scheduled to release on May 26, the Air Jordan 11 ‘Prom Night’ will retail for $220, not the $250 several leakers had been posting.
What do you think about this blackout Air Jordan 11? Is it different enough from the Air Jordan 11 ‘Gamma Blue’ to warrant a cop? Let us know.
Like ’em, but I’ve got the Gammas already
Do these still have the same performance tech as the original versions? I’ve always wondered that about the numbered Jordan re-releases…
unpopular opinion, but the 11 ain’t all that. Easy pass for me.
