Get ready for another ‘Bred’-like retro with the dunktastic, black-toed Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘Shattered Backboard’.
The sneaker looks pretty close to the ‘Black Toe’ Jordan 1, albeit with orange (instead of red) on the perforated toe box and a black tongue.
The sneaker is likely an homage to a 1985 Nike exhibition game that Michael Jordan played in, where he scored 30 points and absolutely crushed a backboard on a one-handed jam. This moment is epitomized on the insoles, which show a red rim and the nicknamed shattered backboard.

is it just me or does the insole look like an ortholite? I notice the blue aroumd the edges, if it is that would add some more comfort to the model for sure
They use ortholite insoles for the 1’s for added comfort.
Sorry i meant fitsole that are blue on the bottom like on certain running models, i got the two confused when i originally wrote the comment
That’s definitely Orange.
I really want to refer to these as the Manny Machado… so appreciative of the premium materials.
