The Air Jordan 5 ‘PSG’ debuted shortly after Jordan Brand unveiled its partnership with France’s Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) soccer club. Now, the second part of that footwear collaboration, the Air Jordan 1 ‘PSG’, is set to release.
On display at Nike’s New York HQ on Wednesday, the Air Jordan 1 ‘PSG’ is a simple and clean homage to the Parisian club that has dominated Ligue 1 by winning the national title in five of the last six seasons (thanks in part by being the richest club in France). PSG has been a Jordan Brand partner since 1989.
“Jordan Brand and Paris Saint-Germain share a distinct position in sport and style, so to partner with the club is a natural fit,” said Michael Jordan in a statement. The partnership is Jordan Brand’s latest attempt to extend its influence in Europe as it continues to expand its global outreach.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘PSG’ will retail for $160 and release on November 3 in limited numbers. Unique insoles that read “ICI C’EST PARIS” (This is Paris) are paired with subtle PSG details at the tongue and midsole for this release.
