This weekend’s Air Jordan 1 KO “Bred” release has been cancelled due to an issue with quality standards. A number of retailers have been forced to cancel or postpone the highly anticipated release. It appears the issue could be due to mold as Twitter user @liziswaydope posted photos of the subpar quality of her sneakers. Stay tuned for any updates and be aware of any defects if you were able to get your hands on early pairs.
Jordan Brand has issued a statement about the release:
This weekend’s release of the AJ 1 KO High OG (638471-001) has been canceled indefinitely due to product related issues. The decision was made because the product did not meet the Jordan Brand’s high quality standards.

“The decision was made because the product did not meet the Jordan Brand’s high quality standards”… lol
“high quality” XD
That made me laugh too, 😛
Looks like mold. Dangerous stuff if it is.
Great… now in 3 or 4 years they will release these shoes yet again! It will be named the “Moldy Bred KO” with moldy/distressed canvas! They can do it up like the “Banned” and release only in outlets. LMAO!!!!
Prepare for mindless angry rant in 5_4_3. JB checks there merchandise to ensure the highest quality? Since when? New to me. 1/2 the shoes released in honor of of the 7s birthday have been somewhat sketchy to massively scratch damned poorly executed and just never should have paced by even a the most basic of onceovers. JB new going in to the production of the bred ajko that they chose inferior materails for there cheap prices and to improve their political status and unfortunately they now are paying a larger price they could have done things the best way and the right way the first time around.
