For a PG same size as you with the playing style of Nash/Rose which would you choose between these: jordan 10 retro, hyperdunk 2012,adidas crazy 8,jordan aero mania,UA microG clutch?
The Crazy Quick-PureMotion, minimal cushion for court feel
The Crazy Light(series)-Aimed to be the lightest and most ventilated shoe on the market
The Rose773 II-PureMotion, less supportive restriction from the SprintFrame, Lowest priced
The DRose 4-All of the above tweaked minus the lower price and Adidas Flagship Sig Line
The Crazy Ghost-What is your role in the family?
At this point, I’m tempted to boycott Adidas until we get Boost in Basketball.
haha, i dont get it either. I did buy a pair of Crazy Shadow for $65, they do fit nice and with the Heel void they do have NICE cushion. This Motion stuff is for people ho are serious about damaging there leg’s, knee,s back’s etc – Absolutely NO CUSHIONING. These should have stayed a Prototype until they figured it Out. Poor Rose and now he is sitting out Pre Season with a Soar Knee having only played a few minutes. I wish NIKE had signed him, he rocked Nike’s his whole life until the NBA. Poor guy.
I am full aware of team models and since you brought that up, look at Nike. The Hyperdunk, Hyperdisruptor, Hyperfuse, & Hyperquickness have just enough variation to not have them feel like you are getting the exact same options. Different cushion and traction setups for the most part even though fuse is on just about everything these days.
I bought the Quicks back in May and I love them. I have always been open to whatever brand out there is putting out hot tech with the style that I like. Adidas has just dropped the ball in my opinion. To be fair, it’s not just Adidas. I have mentioned this about Jordan brand and the flight plate equipped shoes.
Where is the creativity adidas? Seriously, it seems like once you create something innovative, in this recent releases which is the crazyquick outsole, they dump it all to their models. I understand that nike does the same at times but at least they try to mix up their tech.
i just feel bad for the dudes that bought the crazyquicks (though i’m still thinking about picking up a pair since they’re dropping in price all the time)…it seems like adidas has treated that as the trial model for their tech, it just seems prudent to wait until they finally hit upon the model that puts everything together in a way that they’re satisfied enough with to leave the crazyquick outsole alone…i would’ve thought that the rose 4 was that shoe, but apparently not
the fact that this shoe is going for $100 while looking breathable and comfortable is something, though…
that being said i will give these serious consideration for my weekly indoor games, either these or the crazyquicks (which probably cost around $100 USD or thereabouts in hong kong right now)
Are you performance reviewing this Chris? And do you own a pair of Pippen 1s, some D Rose 4s maybe?
Is it just me, or does Jrue Holiday look like Jay-Z?
No Chris Paul’s son looks like Jay-Z
True!! Hahaha

Is the traction more like the Rose 4s or really soft like the CrazyQuicks?
Thin like the Crazyquicks but stiff like the Rose.
What exactly is the niche for these?

That and other reasons are why we ball in ball in UA (Spawn, Spine, Predator).

He wore adidas at Memphis
you do know the term “team shoe” right?? good enough for every position and with a budgeted price point for the CQ line.. makes sense

I know right pure motion is kinda old now

The original adi ghost was my first ever basketball shoe. Definitely have to pick up a pair.
Another Crazy Quick/ Rose 773 2!!
saw those already. they’ve been around in the philippines for a few months now.
Any idea if the traction looks more durable for outdoors?
i would imagine not, look at how thin the grooves are, the rubber is probably identical to the 773 2 and the crazyquicks
